Although she took some time away from leadership while caring for her mother during an extended time of illness, she reactivated her leadership when her grandson was born after attending meetings with her daughter-in-law. She realized how much she missed being a Leader and especially appreciates La Leche League's unique perspective on mothering through breastfeeding. Lenore has been a District Advisor and Area Co-ordinator of Leader Accreditation for Central and Southern Ontario. She has helped with conferences and Leader days and looks forward to continuing her active involvement on both the Group level and as a Board member. Her paid employment as a certified labour, birth and postpartum doula is greatly enhanced by what she has learned over the past twenty-seven years as both a Leader and a mother. Lenore is a member of the Halton Baby Friendly Initiative and is excited to see the positive results of her La Leche League Group's breastfeeding drop-in and prenatal breastfeeding classes. She looks forward to serving La Leche League Canada in ways that will help ensure its future availability to the next generation of mothers and babies.
Lenore joined the Board in 2009.
