Help us celebrate 50 years of breastfeeding support in 2011!

Breastfeeding Benefits is a national fundraiser which helps support all levels of La Leche League Canada (Group, Area and national level). Equally important is the need to promote and bring breastfeeding awareness to the communities where Groups are located.

This year marks a special milestone in La Leche League Canada's life. It is our 50th Anniversary and so the Board of Directors would like us all to celebrate with the theme "50 years of breastfeeding support in Canada."

The events being held under the Breastfeeding Benefits umbrella range from the traditional walk-a-thon to afternoon teas to garage sales. Whatever the event, they are normally held at times determined by the Leaders and members to avoid conflicting with other events in the community.

Individuals and Groups are encouraged to raise funds online via Canada Helps (canadahelps.org) which will let you set up a Giving Page. Your donors may be notified by email of your fundraising so that they can then go online to make a gift (be sure to give them the title and link to the Giving Page) and instantly receive a tax creditable receipt. Otherwise, you may make use of this pledge form. See our ideas and information for hosting your own event. Be sure to register by contacting adc@lllc.ca to be eligible for prizes.
