"If it weren't for LLLC,
I probably would not be breastfeeding my baby now!"
Mother-to-mother peer support for breastfeeding -- it works!
Mothers tell us and the research proves that more babies are breastfed exclusively for six months, as recommended by Health Canada and the Canadian Pediatric Society, when their mothers receive the kind of support that La Leche League Canada offers. Special circumstances or the normal course of breastfeeding -- we can help your clients!
Mothers you work with can find peer support for breastfeeding in your community by visit the Find a Group section of this website or by calling our toll-free Breastfeeding Referral Line: 1-800-665-4324. Trained La Leche League Canada volunteers offer support by telephone, e-mail, one-on-one and in a group setting.
For more information about the training our volunteers receive and the experience required before they are accredited as La Leche League Canada Leaders, see the Become a Leader section.
"I loved the quiz!
I'll be using it for my next residents' educational half-day."
