National Volunteer Week

The LLLC Board thanks the nearly 400 volunteer Leaders who are part of our organization. LLLC Leaders offer support to 100,000 pregnant and new mothers annually through one-to-one helping by telephone, email, community outreach, and hold 155 monthly in-person meetings.

This is over 35,000 hours per year in direct service to Canadian families!

Thank a Leader today if you are one of the many mothers who have received breastfeeding support and information from a volunteer LLLC Leader.

Breastfeeding Makes Cents

As you debate what to do with the contents of your penny jar when the Canadian penny goes out of circulation on February 4th consider supporting our Breastfeeding Makes Cents fundraiser.

Here are some fun ways to think about your donation by looking at breastfeeding and breastfeeding support in penny amounts:

• A penny for every day that you breastfed your own child/children.

• The amount you saved by breastfeeding for a year (130,000 pennies/year according to the latest statistics).
