This meeting is in a basement space with stairs, so may be inaccessible to people with mobility difficulty. Parking is a bit difficult around ASAC. There are 3-4 spots behind the house, just make sure not to park behind the one "No Parking" sign. There is also parking on the side streets. The building is on a bus route and a bike path.
This is a welcoming, inclusive group. Pregnant people, parents, partners, support people, and all ages of children are welcome. There is no cost to attend, but you may consider a donation to www.lllc.ca if you are able to help LLLC support other nursing parents across Canada. This is a child friendly space with lots of toys to play with. Arriving on time or late is always ok. We understand that getting out of the house can be a challenge with young children.
All meetings have at least one internationally accredited La Leche League Leader in attendance to lead discussion and share accurate nursing facts and solutions. Nursing questions people come with are addressed in a supportive atmosphere. Both the joys and struggles of parenting are real and welcome at this meeting. La Leche League meetings give you a chance to come together with other parents who are going through or have gone through similar issues. Come with your questions. If you have no questions right now, please come to offer support and suggestions to other parents. Or, just come to enjoy the community and getting out of the house for the morning.
Directions: The address is 7219-106 St. It is a peach colored stucco home that is set back quite far from the road, so it’s easy to miss it as you drive by the front. But the house numbers are very large and it is on both the back and front of the home. There is parking for 3 or 4 vehicles at the back, just be sure not to park where the no parking signs are. Otherwise there is residential parking around the area. Please enter via the side door on the north side of the home.
