This is a welcoming, inclusive group. Pregnant people, parents, partners, support people, and all ages of children are welcome. There is no cost to attend, but you may consider a donation to www.lllc.ca if you are able to help LLLC support other nursing parents across Canada. This is a child-friendly space with lots of toys to play with. Arriving on time or late is always ok. We understand that getting out of the house can be a challenge with young children.

All meetings have at least one internationally accredited La Leche League Leader in attendance to lead a discussion and share accurate nursing facts and solutions. Nursing questions people come with are addressed in a supportive atmosphere. Both the joys and struggles of parenting are real and welcome at this meeting. La Leche League meetings give you a chance to come together with other parents who are going through or have gone through similar issues. Come with your questions. If you have no questions right now, please come to offer support and suggestions to other parents. Or, just come to enjoy the community and getting out of the house for the evening.

This group meets the last Thursday of each month.  There is NO evening meeting in December.  The same group, in the same location, also meets the first Wednesday of the month at 10 AM. You are welcome at any of our meetings.

Meetings are normally in the lounge upstairs accessed from the ramp on the North side of the building. Sorry, no strollers allowed in the hall. There is a spot to park strollers just outside the entrance at the top of the ramp.

Transportation: By car there is lots of free parking. Entrance to the parking lot is on 86 Ave just west of 101 Street. Please note that its a bit of a walk from the parking lot, to the north door entrance and up the ramp. If you are carrying something or someone heavy walking is difficult or tiring. By bike there are lots of bike racks at the school that is very close by. This location is very close to designated, separated bike lanes on 83 Ave. By bus - this area is served by bus 52. By foot, this is a very pedestrian friendly neighbourhood. ****There are road closures and construction in the neighborhood. Please plan around this.***

LLLC meetings - You are always welcome to attend LLLC meetings before and after you have welcomed your baby. Bring your breastfeeding/chestfeeding questions and concerns, talk about your joys and challenges or come and just listen. Babies and young children are always welcome, and some Groups include father/partners and support persons in some or all of their meetings.
All La Leche League Canada Leaders are volunteers. They are experienced breastfeeding/chestfeeding parents who have been accredited to provide up-to-date breastfeeding/chestfeeding information, encouragement and support.

For More Information: Contact a local La Leche League Leader in the Find a Group/Leader section.

If you have received help from La Leche League, we would appreciate your support in the form of a donation so we can continue to help others breastfeed. Thank you!
