LLLC-Coquitlam
Meeting Information:
Meeting topics rotate, but there is always space reserved for questions about any topic related to breastfeeding and mothering. No two meetings are alike! We have a facilitated discussion on the topic of the month and we reserve time to ask questions of both Leaders as well as to chat and meet with other mums attending.
Our monthly public meeting is free to all women and their children.
If you have specific questions, would like breastfeeding support, or are interested in meeting outside of the regularly scheduled group meetings, please feel free to call one of our listed LLLC Leaders at the phone numbers above.
Membership with this group provides access to the Members' Lending Library, invitation to the email list, membership in the Facebook group, attendance at the Members' Only Enrichment meetings, and invitation to other members' gatherings and events. Call a Leader for the Members' Enrichment Meeting Schedule.
If you would like to purchase a membership for $35 you can do that at a meeting, or online: http://www.lllc.ca/join-now
To contact a La Leche League Leader for phone help, call the numbers above, or the Lower Mainland Info Line, 604-520-4623. This number will bring you to a recorded list of Leader phone numbers in the Greater Vancouver Area.
The LLLC - Coquitlam group serves the Tricities and Tri-Cities neighbours, including Port Moody, Port Coquitlam, Coquitlam, Anmore, Belcarra, Burnaby, New Westminster, Pitt Meadows, and Maple Ridge.
If you are a woman who is interested in breastfeeding, you are most welcome to attend our meetings. Any time is a good time to come to a La Leche League meeting, whether you are pregnant, have a new baby or are considering weaning. Babies and young children are always welcome. Some Groups include father/partners in some or all of their meetings; see the "Meeting For" category above or contact a local Leader for details.
We discuss all sorts of breastfeeding-related topics at our meetings: from reasons to consider breastfeeding in the first place, to family life with a new baby, to practical breastfeeding tips, to nutrition, weaning and more. Bring your breastfeeding questions and concerns, joys and challenges to share, or just listen if you prefer.
All La Leche League Canada Leaders are volunteers. We are experienced breastfeeding mothers who are trained to provide up-to-date breastfeeding information, encouragement and support.
For More Information: Contact a local La Leche League Leader for breastfeeding help or for more details about meetings. Please call during daytime/early evening hours if possible. For EMERGENCY situations please contact a healthcare provider in your community.
