Breastfeeding Essentials

 

Congratulations on the upcoming arrival of your baby! La Leche League Canada’s Breastfeeding Essentials class will help you prepare for the arrival of your baby and your breastfeeding journey. You will learn about:

  • Preparing to breastfeed
  • Basics of positioning and latching
  • Establishing your milk production
  • How to know your baby is getting enough milk
  • How and where to get support

Prior to the class you will be sent an email with more details including the meeting location (for in-person meetings), the Google Meet link (for virtual meetings), and Leader contact details

This class is free for all those who are pregnant plus their support people.

Healthcare professionals are asked to register for a class that is open to healthcare professionals. There is a $50 fee for Healthcare professionals to attend the Breastfeeding Essentials class. We appreciate your financial contribution to the success of La Leche League Canada.

If you are a healthcare provider we appreciate your interest in attending the LLLC Breastfeeding Essentials class. We hope that you will recommend it to your expectant clients and patients.

Healthcare providers are asked to pay a fee of $50 to attend the class which is offered at no cost to those planning on breastfeeding.

This fee will contribute to the valuable work of La Leche League Canada. We appreciate your support. You will receive a receipt for $50 for the cost of the class.

Breastfeeding Essentials Recorded Presentation

If possible, we encourage you to attend a scheduled Breastfeeding Essentials class. This will give you the opportunity to meet one of our volunteer Leaders and have your nursing questions answered.

If you cannot find a class that works with your schedule, register to receive a link to our recorded presentation.

If you wish to review what you learned, register to receive this recording AFTER attending a scheduled class.
