NOTES:
If you are interested in breastfeeding, you are most welcome to attend our monthly meetings. Any time is a good time to come to a La Leche League meeting, whether you are pregnant, have a new baby or are considering weaning. Babies and young children are always welcome. Some Groups include father/partners in some or all of their meetings; see the "Meeting For" category above or contact a local Leader for details.
We discuss all sorts of breastfeeding-related topics at our meetings: from reasons to consider breastfeeding in the first place, to family life with a new baby, to practical breastfeeding tips, to nutrition, weaning and more. Bring your breastfeeding questions and concerns, joys and challenges to share, or just listen if you prefer.
All La Leche League Canada Leaders are volunteers. We are experienced breastfeeding mothers who are trained to provide up-to-date breastfeeding information, encouragement and support.
As always, if you require assistance or have questions between meetings, please feel free to contact the leaders noted above. If your call is not returned within 24 hours, please call the central number for Halifax (902-470-7029) for a list of all the leaders taking calls in the HRM area.
