Media & Outreach

Sharing your event with local media, community partners, and supporters is a great way to raise awareness and invite families to join in. To make it simple, we’ve prepared media release templates you can customize with your event details: 

  • Media Release for LLLC Leaders 
    This template is designed for Leaders hosting an event. It highlights your role as a volunteer and the support La Leche League Canada offers to families.
  • Media Release for Community Partners 
    This version is for organizations or partners hosting or collaborating on an event. It focuses on the community partnership and shared support for families. 

Simply download the version that fits your role, fill in the blanks with your event details, and send it to local newspapers, radio, or community newsletters.

Event Day Tools

To help your event run smoothly and keep families engaged, the toolkit includes a variety of practical and fun resources. Below are games and activities designed to create a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere, along with signs that make it easy to direct participants, highlight key areas, and share information about the event. We’ve also provided sign-in sheets so you can capture attendance, connect with families after the event, and track participation in this national challenge. These tools are ready to print and use, giving you everything you need to support families and celebrate the day with confidence.

Follow-Up

Your event may be over, but the impact continues! We ask all facilitators to complete a short Follow-Up Survey within two weeks of your LLLatch-On event. This helps us celebrate your successes, capture participation numbers, and learn how we can make the event even better in future years.

Completing the survey is quick, easy, and an important way to contribute to the national picture of the LLLatch-On.

Prizes
As part of the LLLC Great Canadian LLLatch-On, there will be six prize categories this year:

  • Event with the most remote location
  • Event with the youngest nursling
  • Event with the oldest nursling
  • Event with the most tandem/multiples
  • Event with the largest group
  • Event with the most support people in attendance

Each winning group will receive a prize package that includes a new copy of The Art of Breastfeeding and 10 LLLC bookmarks.
