NOTES:

The Niagara region covers a large area so Leaders offer meetings in various locations. To keep informed of the latest events, please ‘like’ the facebook page La Leche League – Niagara www.facebook.com/LLLNiagara. All breastfeeding support meetings, cafés, and social meet-ups are listed on the page. For immediate breastfeeding support, please contact individual leaders by email or phone. You may also message the facebook page directly for support. Leaders are volunteers and ALL support (online, phone, meetings) is provided for FREE.

Morning meetings normally take place on the last Wednesday of each month; they are drop-in, so come as you are able. Everyone is welcome! Even if you aren't currently having challenges, please come to meet other moms and to share your wisdom & experience with new parents. The first half of the meeting is "Open Floor" for all questions/concerns/challenges and the second half is a discussion of a monthly topic. There is a lending library available containing reputable breastfeeding books and books on parent-related topics.

Meetings are normally held at the YFC/Youth Unlimited Centre in the south end of the city (near The Pen Centre).  Free parking is available in front of the building. It is a family-friendly environment with lots of toys for little ones to play with and comfortable seating for adults. Please bring snacks as needed for yourself and your children; note that coffee & tea are available (free of charge).

LLLC meetings - You are always welcome to attend LLLC meetings before and after you have had your baby. Bring your breastfeeding questions and concerns, talk about your joys and challenges or come and just listen. Babies and young children are always welcome, and some Groups include father/partners in some or all of their meetings.

All La Leche League Canada Leaders are volunteers. They are experienced breastfeeding mothers who have been accredited to provide up-to-date breastfeeding information, encouragement and support.

For More Information: Contact a local La Leche League Leader in the Find a Group/Leader section.

If you have received help from La Leche League, we would appreciate your support in the form of a donation so we can continue to help others breastfeed. Thank you!
